App Update: Android 5.18 / iOS 6.13

Android 5.18 and iOS 6.13 introduces new features which improves visibility of key information on jobs for your JobWatch users, this includes the job order number and new functionality allowing users to set the job flag via the job detail page.

Users are now able to view the job Order Number on the device. If an order number is entered into job details in the back office, this number will be visible from the device.

The current flag against a job is now visible to device users. You can see the current flag in either the list view, or within job details.

Please note, for the job flag to be visible, it must be set to be visible “On Devices” in the back office.

To do this, navigate to My Account > Administration > Schedule > Job flags > Add / edit flag

When adding a new flag in the back office, or editing an existing flag, the tick box “On Devices” must be ticked for the flag to be visible on the device.

Not only can a device user now see the current job flag, they can also set or update the job flag from the device. Again, for the job flag to be visible and selectable by the device user, it must be set to be visible “On Devices” in the back office.

Where a job custom field has been created in the back office, it can be made visible to device users; should you wish, this field can also be made editable on the device.

To do this, in the back office, navigate to My Account > Administration > Schedule > Job custom fields > Add / edit custom field

To make the job custom field viewable from a device, tick the “Field viewable by resources”. Similarly, to make the job custom field editable from a device, tick the “Field editable by resources”

Please note, where a job custom field has been created in the back office and set with a default value, this will also be visible from the device.

Where a contact custom field has been created in the back office, it can be made visible to device users; should you wish, this field can also be made editable on the device.

To do this, in the back office, navigate to My Account > Administration > Schedule > Contacts & Notes > Contact custom fields > Contact Group > Add / Edit

To make the contact custom field viewable from a device, tick the “Field viewable by resources”. Similarly, to make the job custom field editable from a device, tick the “Field editable by resources”

Please note, where a contact custom field has been created in the back office and set with a default value, this will also be visible from the device.

Only those devices with Android 5.13 or iOS 6.13 will be able to use these new features.
