When inputting considerable amounts of data it is all too easy to make the odd mistake, for example, using a parent contact’s details for a job rather than those of a child. Entity Data Fix has been created to allow for these instances by enabling you to seamlessly move data from one entity (ie a job, note, financial document) to another yourself. Navigate: My Account → Administration → [side menu] Account → Entity Data Fix and then select the type of entity you would like to update from the dropdown menu:
You will then be asked for a Job Reference/Reference/Invoice Reference, depending upon your selected entity type:
Once you have entered the appropriate reference number, related results will be displayed and you will be asked which contact you would like to amend (‘Field to change’):
Once you have selected your Contact name and amended it you will be given the option to update associated elements with the new information:
Tick/untick the checkboxes as preferred and then click the icon at the bottom to ‘Update entities’. A popup window will now open showing how the changes will impact and asking for confirmation:
If you are happy with the changes you have made, click to Save
