Import/Export Blueprints

Import/Export Blueprints

Area We’re Addressing

  • Each customer has their own unique requirements when importing and exporting data and this often requires them to make changes, which can be time-consuming.
  • Customers need the flexibility to map column positions which are appropriate for the specific task and save them as blueprints, in a similar way to the popular new ‘Favourites’ feature.

What’s New

  • When importing data, column positions can be saved as blueprints within JobWatch and applied in one easy click, eliminating the need to match columns up individually.
  • When exporting data, only the information defined on the blueprint will be included on the file produced, eliminating the need to remove unnecessary columns later.

Enhancements to Favourites View

Enhancements to Favourites View

Area We’re Addressing

Although the bookmarking feature is extremely popular, it would be even better if there was a simple way to edit, amend filters and delete them, as well as a way to differentiate between personal and global bookmarks.

What’s New

The new edit icon provides users with the ability to rename and edit the date ranges for favourite views, as well as an option to delete them.

Global favourite views appear in bold to differentiate them from personal ones.

Financial/Schedule

Automatic Document Sending with Accountancy Package Auto-Referencing

Automatic Document Sending with Accountancy Package Auto-Referencing

Area We’re Addressing

In our last release, we enabled automatic synchronisation between financial documents and accountancy packages when using automatic document sending. However, customers would prefer this to be optional since there are scenarios in which they don’t wish for this to occur.

What’s New

A new ‘Accounts sync‘ option will be displayed allowing customers who integrate with Sage or Xero to opt to auto-sync financial documents when setting up automatic document sending. This is an opt-in scenario requiring the field’s box to be ticked as by default, financial documents will not be synchronised.

Schedule

Linked Job Groups - User Choice when Dragging from Unscheduled

Linked Job Groups – User Choice when Dragging from Unscheduled

Area We’re Addressing

Currently, when a user drags a job which is part of a linked group from Unscheduled, to the Schedule, the job’s positioning on the timeline determines the timing for the whole group of jobs within the linked group, ie other jobs within the linked group are scheduled around it with no option to make that the start time for the entire group of jobs.

What’s New

When an unscheduled linked job group is dragged onto the schedule, the user is provided with a prompt ‘The job you are scheduling is part of a linked group job. Do you want the job or the group job to be scheduled to start at this time?’  This allows the user more control over job timings.

New 'Add' Button for Worksheet Creation

New ‘Add’ Button for Worksheet Creation

Areas We’re Addressing

When creating a large worksheet, the user has had to scroll to the top in order to add another question, which is inconvenient.

What’s New

For larger worksheets, ie those with 10 or more questions, an additional ‘add’ button can be found at the bottom of the worksheet.
