Out Of Office System

Out Of Office System

When tagging a back-office user in a note, there is nothing to identify when they are out of the office until an email bounce back is received.

What’s New

In each user’s settings, there is a new section entitled ‘Out of Office’. Navigate: My account > My settings > [section] Out of office:

Completed example

Once you have completed the information here it automatically saves.

When actioned, the User themselves will see an orange bar at the top of their BigChange screen, advising them that their Out of Office is on as well as a link should you wish to disable it.

When this user is tagged in a note, a prompt will appear advising the note writer that the tagged user is Out of Office and displaying any message they have added about their absence.

Add Attachment Links To Note Dialogue

Although it’s simple to add upload attachments to a note, it can be difficult to refer to them effectively in a dialogue comment.  It would be helpful if they could be linked more effectively.

What’s New

When adding a comment, you can now press # and begin typing to list all the note’s attachments in alphabetical order. As with dialogue comments, when the user begins to type the search results narrow until the correct attachment is visible and can be selected. Once selected, the file name is inserted as a link and clicking on the link opens the attachment.

Notes are such an integral part of the BigChange system that adding enhanced functionality would be welcomed by our customers.

What’s New

  1. The existing yes/no options have been replaced with tickboxes.  This doesn’t affect the default behaviour.
  2. The previous field ‘Keep duplicated note against parent note’ has been replaced with the field ‘Parent of duplicate note’ which has the following options:
    • original note
    • original note’s parent – this is disabled if the original note doesn’t have a parent
    • none – where this is selected a conditional field will be displayed, ‘Duplicate note becomes parent of original note’.

  3. Three new settings have been added

    • New note type
    • New subject
    • New notes

Change Line Item Quantities En Masse

Although it is easy for customers to add discounts/markups and delete multiple line items in one go, changing the quantity is less straightforward.

What’s New

When more than one line item is selected and the ‘Selected items…‘ icon is pressed, a new option, ‘Quantities‘, allows you to change the quantity, increase/decrease it by a factor or multiply/divide it.

A vehicle’s make and model is currently only visible in Administration.  It would be helpful if this information was viewable on the front end and filterable.

What’s New

  • A new column displays the make and model and it is also possible to filter by them.

  • When the vehicle is opened, the make and model is also displayed but cannot be edited.

Sales Opportunities

It would be useful if the Sales Opportunities’ flags could be used as filters in the way that they are in other parts of the system.

It is now possible to filter by flags in Sales Opportunities.

Empty Stock Category

On occasion, a customer might need to remove a category’s contents and it would be helpful if this could be achieved in a single action.

What’s New

Navigate: My account > Administration > [side menu] Stock & equipment > Product categories

A new icon ‘Empty category’ has been added:

You will be given a warning advising that this data will not be recoverable and asking you to confirm by completing a simple maths equation:

Use with caution. This action will remove all stock/equipment in this category from the system, even if it is in use.

Xero Certification Changes for Beta Testers

For those customers who are Beta testers of Xero Integration we are making a small number of minor changes.

What’s New

  • Integration Changes
    1. Changes to Xero disconnect button – will send a delete request to the endpoint
    2. Changes of scopes
    3. Xero invoice consolidation option – ‘Max number of line items on invoice before auto consolidated
    4. Importing of nominal codes & dropdown selection of these – new ‘Import Xero nominal codes’ button and a new dropdown list for nominal sales/purchase codes.
  • UI Changes
    1. Removal of ‘add’ button for tax/department/nominal code sections
    2. Allow modification of tax code when document in error
    3. % to code in document.
